We are looking for Board Liaison Officer to join our Corrections Services' team based at Northern Region Corrections Facility, on a **full-time, permanent** basis.
**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
As the main conduit between our Corrections Services' teams and the New Zealand Parole Board, the role of Board Liaison Officer is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the parole review process for Offenders in our care. You will thrive in a role where strong working relationships and exceptional customer service are the foundations for success. Proactive in nature, you will be quick to identify and resolve issues whilst communicating effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines are never compromised.
From the monitoring of review hearing schedules and updating of records to the collation of information and booking of appropriate facilities, your skills will be put to the test.
Reporting to the Principal Case Manager this position will be responsible for liaising with NZ Parole Board in the administration of Parole Board hearings.
In addition to these duties, you will also be required to undertake a wide range of additional administrative tasks to help support the overall Administration Support structure. These duties could include reception cover, telephone support, checking of incoming and outgoing prisoner mail, data entry and general administration.

To be successful in this varied and challenging role you will:
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in administration and database systems, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Have proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Be meticulous in the recording and maintaining of information
- Have a strength in planning and organisation to manage ever changing demands with the ability to multitask and display common sense
- Have an understanding of tikanga Maori and can adapt to working in this space to align with the Departments Hokai Rangi Strategy
- Have exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
- Possess very high levels of integrity and professionalism, and be able to work in an environment where maintaining privacy is paramount
- Be able to work autonomously and in a team environment with the ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships within a diverse environment of different cultures, religion and gender identities

The salary range for this role is $45,518 - $54,120 and progression is dependent of required competency levels.
The work profile for this position is Monday - Friday, working 40 hours a week.
