**Location**: Various aged care facilities in the New Plymouth region

**Hours of work**:Casual on-call (confirmed prior to each assignment)

**About the role**:
As a Healthcare Assistant for R-Connect, you will be deployed to complete temporary assignments across various aged care facilities in this region.

As this is a casual role, you will be prompted when a temp vacancy is available, and you can accept based on your availability.
- You need to be a New Zealand Citizen/Resident, or have open work conditions.
- You must have a current NZ Driver's License.

**Duties include**:

- Reporting to the charge nurse and completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
- Residents' personal care tasks, i.e. hygiene, grooming, toileting, shaving, brushing of teeth and hair
- Mobilising residents

**Skills and Experience**:

- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)
- Aged care experience required
- People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
