**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

The Downer Hamilton team needs a physically fit and motivated person to join our Construction crew and lend a helping hand as a General Labourer. This is an entry-level opportunity for people interested in civil infrastructure and roading.

You will be involved in the general operation of machinery as well as day-to-day manual labouring duties. This could include:

- Helping with safe site setup for your crew and the general public
- Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
- Working as part of a cohesive team to deliver to client requirements

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you:

- Class 1 restricted or full license required
- Ability to work within a team and alone when required
- Flexibility is desirable given you will be required to work shift work
- Have a positive 'can do' attitude

It also helps if you have the following, however these are not deal breakers and training can be provided:

- Class 2 - 4 Drivers Licences and WTR endorsements
- Experience in drain laying, concrete placing, and/or formwork
- Experience operating a variety of civil machinery
