**What you will be doing**
The Suicide Prevention & Postvention Coordinator role is a 32 hour fixed term position. The position is based within the Suicide Postvention and Prevention Team (SPPT) and will support the implementation of the Canterbury Suicide Prevention Action Plan and the New Zealand Suicide Prevention Strategy 2019-2029, He Tapute Oranga o Tangata.
The SPP Team coordinates and facilitates a range of suicide prevention and postvention activities with the aim of reducing suicide rates and lessening the harmful impacts on families/whānau, friends and the wider Canterbury community.
The SPP team work collaboratively with suicide prevention stakeholders within Pegasus Health and externally to ensure integrated and safe delivery of wellbeing support for the Canterbury community.

- Strong facilitation, education, and skills in coordinating wellbeing approaches
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to engage with every level of stakeholder
- A genuine commitment to improving the overall health and wellbeing of communities and to foster self-determination and empowerment of communities
- The ability to power share and collaborate with others to create a collective vision
- A genuine commitment to improving equity of outcome particularly for Māori, Pacific, CALD and other identified communities
