**About the role**:
Within the Verifone New Zealand Solutions Engineering team, we have a position for a Senior Test Analyst to run our quality assurance efforts for our product and project work.

You will lead our NZ focused team based in Wellington and Bangalore to ensure high quality outcomes. You will to define and drive quality mindset across the entire team based on automation first principles.

Do you have the ability to organise and co-ordinate team members across our global Verifone offices to plan, co-ordinate and execute QA activities? Do you possess a high level of energy and collaborative spirit, and test automation and QA leadership expertise?

As our Global Engineering organisation drives step change improvements in on-time delivery, software quality and cost per system release, you will be a role model and a change agent for new ways of working. We work in an agile environment, where you set software architecture direction for other software engineers and wider team members.

**What you'll do**:
We work together to understand client needs, our customers look at us to deliver solutions that are right first time. A key to your success is working alongside local and global engineering teams to adopt new technologies and methods to continuously improve our end to end software frameworks.

You know the latest detail on payment system global and local trends. We rely on you to be our QA authority, always up to date on the newest technology solutions for test automation and QA execution. It would be outstanding if you've done this before in a financial services environment.

**What qualifications will you need to be successful?**:
**Knowledge & experience**:

- Relevant experience in contributing to strong QA outcomes through the use of test automation and manual testing practices.
- Understanding and experience crafting software systems for the payments industry, including Application Marketplaces, Terminal Management, Payment Gateways, and software systems stacks based on Android and embedded systems development.
- Your strong background in Agile delivery methodologies and tools enabling you to champion key quality principles including unit testing, peer reviews, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Are you an authority with Quality assurance lifecycle processes around test data management, test planning, test defect triage/management and reporting, and using tools and techniques for automating much of the test and defect lifecycle?
- You are strong at collaborating and consulting with cross-company and payments industry authorities to find the best solutions for our customers.
- You'll understand the principles in delivering and assuring secure software solutions for EFTPOS products. You can think ahead of current PCI security standards.
- You are highly skilled in delivering high performance solutions, and key performance metrics including boot time, transaction time, power management, and robust communications systems.

**Skills & abilities**:

- Ability to plan, lead, and execute all test activities during Software development cycles
- Demonstrate experience developing ST, SIT, E2E test plan
- Demonstrate ability to provide test estimation, test plan, test cases and test data
- Demonstrate ability to lead defect triage and produce test report
- Involve and drive with automation testing activities
- Maintain quality through release management
- Demonstrate ability on risk management and provide mitigation test plan
- Assist in identifying, developing and implementing improvements to improve the effectiveness of the test team and support performance of the team
