**About the Job**:
This is a permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday, 05:30-15:00) offering a competitive hourly rate based on your skills and experience. Additional benefits include a generous staff discount purchase scheme at our associated Mitre 10 stores and Columbus cafés.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Dispatch: Co-ordinate the timely and accurate delivery of products, such as frames, trusses, hardware, and beams, to various sites, in an around Auckland. Plan routes effectively, using your knowledge of weight distribution, load securing, and safety practices to handle materials and manage crane operations safely.
- Driver Management: Lead a team of drivers, managing inductions, daily duty allocation, and performance management, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and transport regulations.
- Receipting/Returns: Oversee the receipt and inspection of timber and other materials, and manage returns for remedial action as needed.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the Production Manager and Detailers to maintain seamless workflows and foster strong, professional relationships. Communicate effectively to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Plant, Equipment, and Fleet Maintenance: Report breakdowns and implement an effective preventive maintenance plan minimizing unplanned downtime. Health and Safety Management: Promote and uphold health and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with current practices and regulations.
**Preferred Experience and Qualifications**:
- 3-5 years of experience in a related logistics or dispatch role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong operational knowledge of the supply chain process.
- Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver’s License, along with a current forklift license with F endorsement.
- A clean driving record is essential, as this role involves heavy lifting.
