We are currently look for a **Barista** to join our café Javalab, which welcomes both locals and hotels guests alike with a focus on experimental brewing and French patisserie

**Role**:
Our Barista will primarily be accountable for the Javalab café during their shift. This role is ‘hands on’, working as part of a team to provide efficient 5 star service whilst making amazing coffee

You responsibilities will include:

- Providing 5* efficient, friendly and professional service to our guests who need a pick me up
- Engaging with our guests to help educate them on their coffee desires
- Liaising with kitchen staff in relation to ‘product’ for the outlet, ensuring that quality and quantities are maintained to required standards
- Ensuring guest billing is completed accurately
- Supporting revenue initiatives and leading by example whilst providing total customer satisfaction within all customer interactions
- Maintaining standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
- Assisting the restaurant in any barista needs they may require

We would prefer if you have:

- Proven experience within a coffee shop, café or restaurant making coffee
- The ability to create coffee's in mass numbers in an efficient time frame
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Simphony or similar point of sale system
- A willingness to work weekends and public holidays over a 7 day rotating roster
- The right to live and work in New Zealand (required)

**Salary**: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
