Silver Fern Farms are looking for an experienced **Reliability Engineer** who will be responsible for utilizing sound reliability engineering knowledge, experience, and reliability skills, to provide asset performance leadership across our 14 manufacturing sites in New Zealand.

You will be well versed in Managing expectations of others, with reference to reliability outcomes and timing. Have a solid grasp on work management and can get things done, while striking the right balance between priorities of Time, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Cost, and Quality. All the while influencing how work is performed at site is

You will interface with Operations and Maintenance teams, supporting them to evaluate, plan, co-ordinate and implement reliability engineering initiatives, while ensuring appropriate engagement in reliability developments to agreed timeframes, optimising costs, risk, and asset performance. You will be clear in your communication with key stakeholders, strengthening and developing effective working relationships - internal and external - with key customers and suppliers alike.
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or 5+ years’ experience in an applicable field with a qualification in Maintenance and / or Reliability Engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience in the principles of reliability and knowledge of RCM and comfortable facilitating sessions.
- Competency and working knowledge of large industrial sites
- ideally FMCG.
- Exceptional organisational and time management ability & ability to communicate with multiple parties at any one time.
- Strong analytical ability to solve challenges and create opportunities
- Ability to travel nationally 2 weeks in the month and work remotely and for extended times at site, as and when required
- Located or happy to relocate, to be based out of our Hawera, Hastings, Christchurch, or Pareora Sites

As the Reliability Engineer, we expect you be a strong self-starter with excellent communication skills to maintain and develop relationships both up and down within our business and with external stakeholders. You will a solid track record of delivery on time and a strong understanding of the needs of a large scale FMCG business - with a desire to implement change and encourage positive workflow that will see this programme leaving a legacy for the sites nationally.
