The Whakapapa whānau are a small but ambitious team, running year-round operations on the northern slopes of Mt Ruapehu. In winter, from June until October, this includes a world-class ski area. In summer, from December until April, this includes our summer sightseeing operation, heroing our iconic Sky Waka gondola. Each year we welcome hundreds of thousands of manuhiri (guests) to Whakapapa, many with life-long connections to the maunga (mountain) and surrounding region, some even third or fourth generation.

Are you looking to immerse yourself in a NZ Tourism with a unique NZ cultural element in a World Heritage and Cultural Park We are looking for friendly and personable staff to join our Front of House Food & Beverage Team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing outstanding guest service
- Working on the tills and POS, including cash handling
- Communicating with Head Barista & Supervisor on aspects associated with making great coffee
- Assist in cleaning café and other areas of the department
- Creating amazing coffee (don't worry if you haven't been trained - we will teach you what you need to know)

- Experience working in hospitality or retail would be beneficial.
- Positive and proactive verbal communication skills and a willingness to work in a team.
- Helpfulness and willingness when dealing with people.
- A flexible approach to work schedules and guest needs

Remuneration range - $23.15 to $24.74 depending on experience

**On October 27, 2023, Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Limited was put into Receivership with Brendon Gibson and Neale Jackson appointed as Receivers. They transferred ownership of the Tūroa ski area to Pure Tūroa Limited in April 2024 and are continuing to work on the sale of Whakapapa.
