About us
The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) is a community of government agencies working together to build a safer and more prosperous New Zealand. Our People and Capability team in Intelligence Community Shared Services (ICSS) are now looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Advisor or someone with a passion for HR and the right transferable skills and experience to join our friendly and supportive team.
About the role
As a member of our HR Partner team you will be working with managers and team leaders across the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) and the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS). This is a busy role that will see you working with our Senior HR Advisors in the provision of best practice HR advice and support as well as undertaking a range of HR administration responsibilities.
About you
Key to succeeding in this role is your
- Proven experience in providing generalist HR advisory services or motivated to step into an HR business partnering role
- Strong customer orientation with experience in delivering positive customer outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with clear and concise communication skills
- Highly effective planning and organising skills with a proven ability to work independently
You will ensure that key stakeholders feel supported in their business, and effective and productive relationships are built and maintained, at an appropriate level of influence. Supporting the wider People & Capability team, you will also contribute to the effective design, development and implementation of organisational frameworks, policies and processes.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
