Council works with the wider community to provide an extensive network of activated community facilities including community centres, early childhood education facilities and voluntary libraries. Council provides this network to enable a range of activities that increase participation, build social capital and create stronger local communities.

We are seeking a Community Facilities and Activation Manager who understands the intrinsic value of community facilities in building strong communities and the importance of community partnerships in achieving key outcomes.

You will lead Councils strategic and operational approach to the provision of community facilities. Working with community organisations and a number of Council teams you will build capacity within the Council and community sector to sustainably plan, build, operate and activate community facilities. You will be responsible an extensive suite of Council owned community facilities operated by a range of organisations.

This role requires a track record in collaboratively engaging a variety of stakeholders to collectively deliver agreed outcomes, from time to time it requires constructively holding people to account. Superior planning, financial and relationship building skills are essential.
