**The role**:
Technology, our software and systems, and how we can get the very best information for our business, our environment and the energy sector is key, due to this we are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to play a critical role in the design, development and maintenance of our ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System). If you are technology focused, innovative and love to explore to find solutions to create the best outcomes regarding software and operating systems, then this is the role for you.

**A little more about the role**:

- Assist and contribute to the design, test, diagnostics, development and maintenance of our ADMS - including Orion’s network and the Upper South Island load management systems
- Ensure critical infrastructure is monitored and major incidents are restored to full capability as quickly as possible
- Be a part of a customer-centric environment with a key focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure robust document control system processes are followed to meet requirements
- Engage across the Operations and Engineering teams and the energy sector industry to stay up to date with trends and obtain business related information

**A little more about you**:

- Minimum of Level 6 tertiary qualification, or the equivalent experience gained within a complex electrical, electronic or software engineering environment
- Previous experience and knowledge of distribution network management systems (GE ADMS is preferred)
- A natural curiosity to explore and create solutions through collaboration
- Ability to understand new concepts quickly
- A customer centric approach with a positive attitude and sense of humour
