**Te**kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

The Downer South division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across the country. We are looking for an experienced Supervisors to provide support within the Rangitīkei District out of our Marton and Taihape depots.

In this role you will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, and controlling the activities of crews to ensure that work is completed to customer satisfaction while meeting safety, quality, productivity, and profitability targets.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role where you will manage a diverse team, ensure efficient operations, and maintain high standards in both safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organise, direct, and monitor maintenance project operations within our rural network
- Oversee ad direct activities of subcontractors to ensure their work aligns with project objectives
- Ensure plant under your control is maintained, operated safely, and in compliance with safety, quality assurance, and environmental requirements
- Deploy crews efficiently, ensuring work is completed on time and meets safety, quality, and productivity targetsLiaise with clients and company representatives to ensure customer satisfaction

To be successful in this position, you will bring with you:

- Supervisory experience in the contracting industry, preferably in maintenance
- Proven experience managing staff, plant, and ensuring return on investment
- Proven leadership ability and the capacity to influence others
- Excellent problem solving skills, initiative, and a drive to meet project deadlinesDemonstrated commitment to the company values and behaviours that empower others
