40 hours per week minimum

**Hourly rate or Salary Band**: $29-31 per hour depending on experience. Start $29.70

We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Steel Fixers and Metal Workers to join our dynamic team. As a Steel Fixer and Metal Worker you will be responsible for fabricating bundles assembling and repairing steel tires and metal components. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

**Responsibilities**:

- Fabricate metal packaging using steel rods for metal components according to specifications and blueprints for export. Hydraulic Compression.
- Accurate processing of metals
- Using Hand or Power tools to cut and bend bars mesh and other metal products.
- Disassemble / Assemble and weld metal parts using various techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet industry standards for export
- Collaborate with team members to optimise processing and improve efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment

**Job Prerequisites**
- Previous experience as a Steel Fixer and Metals handler. Minimum 2years experience
- Proficiency in various welding techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding
- Gas Cutting
- Strong knowledge of metal products (steel) and metalworking processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid certifications in welding and metalworking are preferred
