**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
We are on the hunt for a Data Governance Specialist to join our AI & Advanced Analytics team This is a key role, you will be responsible for analysis, improvement, implementation and management of processes that manage data and platforms in order to support the Analytics & Data Governance capabilities for Auckland Transport (AT).
You will enable AT to implement the Data Governance Strategy with independent oversight and governance of all Corporate Analytics platform changes, delivery of data models and reports for Data Governance activities, oversee the technical implementation of the Data Management platform, and establish and support the communication sites for the Data Governance programme of work.
A key part of this role is to investigate, analyse, propose and implement processes and solutions to assist in the effectiveness of the Analytics & Data Governance within AT.
**Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?**
With prior experience in the data governance or related field you will have a tertiary qualification in data, analytics or an information field, data related industry qualification(s), or equivalent career experience as a data steward or data custodian.
You will bring experience in business process analysis and data analysis skills and good investigative and analytical skills, as well as knowledge and understanding of physical data structures like data lakes, data warehouses, databases and data middleware. A strong communication and negotiator, you will have highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills.
With critical thinking ability, you will understand strategic context and interpret technical documentation. With excellent collaboration skills, you will be driven to achieve outcomes You will preferably have experience of working within a large enterprise and are able to prioritise conflicting demands.
