Dispatch Loader

Our success is underpinned by significant depth in expertise, proven and world-class technology, and a dedication to delivering excellent service to our customers._** We have a great opportunity for a seasoned, reliable loader / driver who has solid dispatch and local delivery experience to join our team in a full time role at our site in Hornby, Christchurch. This role encompasses a variety of tasks; sorting and consolidating glass orders on trolleys, safely loading and securing glass products onto trucks, housekeeping in the dispatch and yard area, disposing of damaged glass into waste bins, delivering glass products to customers, completing associated dispatch documentation, washing trucks and other duties as and when required. Our loader drivers play an integral part of our business as they are responsible for not only the delivery of our products, they also load and unload their trucks ensuring our product arrives on time and in excellent condition. As the nature of the role requires the handling (loading and unloading) of glass products (double glazed window units, toughened shower panels, toughened balustrades, etc), you will need to be physically fit. We do have mechanical lifting gear for the larger pieces. **Qualifications, Experience and Skills** To be considered for this role you will need to following: - Ability to work 4am - 12.30pm - Be physically fit to be able to load glass products on and off the truck - Experience using mechanical lifting equipment would be an advantage - Excellent customer service skills - Be well presented and have excellent communication skills - A solid driving track record - clean and current Class 2 license with a minimum of 2 years Class 2 driving experience - A current forklift licence would be advantageous - Solutions focused - "no or can't" is not in our vocab - You must also have a degree of flexibility in your hours of work and willing to work overtime (will vary depending on weather and road conditions). **Benefits and Perks** In return for your hard work, can-do attitude n superb customer service we offer very competitive remuneration package which includes market pay rates, full uniform & PPE; as well as regular hours and the stability of working for a market leading organisation.
