**Account Manager**

Our Palmerston North branch currently has an opening for an Account Manager to join the team due to a recent retirement. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Insurance professional to progress their career in the industry.

**What the day will look like**

A varied role where no two days are the same, you will be the key point of contact for a number of longstanding clients. Working with both existing and new clients, you will have ample opportunity to provide exceptional service and demonstrate your impressive relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of SME/commercial clients
- Managing client servicing requirements in an efficient and timely manner
- Identifying opportunities for growth, both within our existing client base and new business
- Providing professional, accurate and efficient response to client needs through liaison with clients and underwriters
- Preparing proposals for new business opportunities
- Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations
- Processing & invoicing of premiums

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

If you consider yourself to be proactive and self-motivated with previous Account Management experience and a talent for building excellent client relationships, then this could be the opportunity for you

Key to your success, you will also be able to demonstrate:

- Proven experience in insurance brokering, finance or similar industries
- Proven sales experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great relationship building and negotiation skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Team player with the ability to get along with a wide variety of people
- Level 5 qualified or a similar qualification
