National Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for National Operations Leader. As a key part of Ngā Manukura, our Senior Leadership team, the Access Community Health (Access) National Operations Leader position is charged with leading a high-performance culture across the Access network, on which the ongoing growth of the organisation will be built on. This leadership role will focus on business operational efficiencies and maximising performance to ensure sustainability while striving for exemplary service delivery to the communities and tāngata/people we support. You will be focused on ensuring Access is the provider of choice for funders and tangata, and the employer of choice for the home-based community health sector.

**The Role**
As a key part of Ngā Manukura, our Senior Leadership team, based in Wellington, the Access Community Health (Access) National Operations Manager position is charged with leading a high-performance culture across the Access network, on which the ongoing growth of the organisation will be built on. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Lead the Access Regional Management teams, including the National Communications Centre, and Referral Centre (hereafter referred to Operations Team).
2. Ensure the Operations Team are a highly effective client facing team, empowered to make key business decisions that will benefit the growth and commercial performance of their respective regions or divisions.
3. Tightly manage all cost controls with an emphasis on maximising labour savings including managing annual leave, sick/unplanned leave and maximise company profitability by maximising the management of public holiday rostering.
4. Manage Operational Team KPI's to ensure efficiencies are realised.
5. Grow and enhance relationships with District Health Board and Ministry of Health funders.
6. Lead company tender processes that seek to retain business or lead to other business growth opportunities.
7. Work with the Access National Managers (including Total Care Health) to implement key business improvement initiatives critical to their divisional success.
8. Work with Access Ngā Manukura/Senior Leadership to develop strategy and implement key business improvement initiatives including Tā Tātou Rautaki/Māori Strategy, Health and Safety programmes, IT Platforms and Employee Engagement Strategies.
9. To present Hauora Tara-Ā-Whare/Access Community Health as a professional organisation with a commitment to quality employment and customer service standards.

10. Review and analyse monthly financial reports, including debt status and identify areas of improvement towards EBIT.
11. Conduct operational process reviews, develop and implement plans for efficiency.
12. Ensure effective incident and complaint management across all areas of the business, adhering to company and sector requirements.
13. To advise the General Manager on key operational matters, trends and issues arising.

**PERSON SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in operational management
- Experience in Primary and Community Health Sector operations preferred but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills that enable the building of effective relationships across diverse groups
- Ability to think creatively and strategically and utilise problem-solving skills.
