The WEL Network services one of the fastest growing regions of New Zealand. The Waikato region provides electricity to 95,000 households and 875 commercial/industrial sites and we are on the lookout for people to help build the network

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Contract Manager working alongside the Project Coordinator, Design Technician and Draught person you will be responsible for ensuring the design plans meet the client brief and provide estimates for the scope of work.

**Key Deliverables**
- Produce functional designs within legislative and industry standards
- Liaising with Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Maintain Quality control through lifespan of the project

**About you**
To be successful in this role you are someone who has experience with large scale project design. You can work to strict timelines and manage the workflow to minimise delays. You will also have strong communication skills to facilitate client relationships and the learning and development of other team members, with support.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or higher
- 5 - 10 years’ experience with HV Contracts
- CATS or similar software experience desirable
