Wanganui, New Zealand Naylor Love Construction Full time

**About us**

Proudly Kiwi-owned and operating since 1910, Naylor Love is one of New Zealand's largest and most respected commercial construction companies. With over 900 talented employees working across 100+ projects nationwide, we're known for delivering high-quality builds - and having the right people to make it happen.

Our culture is the cornerstone of our success. We offer a vibrant and supportive workplace, genuine career development, and the chance to be part of some of the country's most iconic developments. Naylor Love is shaping the future of construction in Aotearoa; join our team today and love your job tomorrow.

**The opportunity**

We are on the lookout for a trade-qualified, motivated, and driven Foreperson to join our Wellington team on one of our projects in Whanganui. You'll bring proven site experience, strong leadership of trade teams, and a solid track record delivering commercial projects for a main contractor. If you have entry-level digital technology skills relevant to construction, that's a bonus - but not essential. Full training on Naylor Love's digital systems will be provided.

In this role, you'll supervise and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors, working closely with the project team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a team environment, leads with a supportive style, and takes ownership of their results. You'll be a skilled carpenter who can identify and solve problems efficiently, uphold health and safety standards, and follow company processes. A willingness to embrace new challenges and grow your skillset is key. This is a permanent, full-time position.

**Why work for us**

At Naylor Love, we know that work is about more than just the job - it's about the experience. When you join us, you'll feel the strength of our values and understand why Our People are Our Brand. We empower our team to take ownership of their work and support them with opportunities to grow.

**In addition to a competitive salary, you will have access to a wide range of other benefits including the following**:

- Southern Cross Medical insurance for you and your whānau (covers pre-existing conditions)
- Paid parental leave
- Annual skin checks, flu vaccinations and health checks
- Access to children's scholarships to support your tamariki undertaking construction related study
- Staff purchasing benefits
- Volunteer days to give back to your local community
- Professional development and career progression opportunities
- Access to free independent counselling and support services for you and your family

**Applications close on Friday, 29 August 2025.**

The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical questionnaire and drug screen and must be eligible to work in New Zealand (resident or current work visa holder).

Naylor Love is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion across all areas of our business.
