Our Regulatory Performance and Insights function provides hindsight, insight, foresight and oversight to enable the effectiveness, efficiency, resilience and fairness of the whole of the land transport regulatory system.
The Senior Analyst, Regulatory Intelligence and Risk will lead work across an allocated portfolio as well as working collaboratively with others to ensure success of the team as a whole. This includes the production of high
In addition to this, our Senior Analyst will work with the Manager and Principal Analysts to develop our ways of working, supporting others to build their capability (particularly through leadership of Communities of Practice) and being a key point of coordination for information between RPI and other groups within Waka Kotahi, as well as other NZIC participants.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Your experience identifying risks, threats and issues and assessing these
- Exceptional strategic advice skills, driving evidence based decision making
- Your ability to build intentional relationships and work collaboratively with others A strong track record of delivery from your previous roles

- It is expected the holder of this role will be privy to classified information from time to time and understands the New Zealand governments classification system and how to maintain information in line with current policies and requirements.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
