**About this role**
To support the Legal & Property Team to provide a range of specialised and general maintenance, painting and building and repair work and condition monitoring across 250+ facilities portfolio which Council own. Ensure safe practice processes for delivery of timely and cost-effective works, with adherence to requirements used in coordination of services. Will be part of the on-call/ after hours rostering to cover urgent maintenance in evening and on weekends.
**Skills and experience**
**Required**
- Strong trade experience ideally in building maintenance.
- Ability to carry out other general maintenance tasks.
- At least 3 years' experience in a property / facilities maintenance.
- Full clean Driver licence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to prioritise works.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements for works
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice and persuade others
**Desirable**
- Experience working with outside vendors under contract for major services delivery
- First Aid certificate would be beneficial
- Experience in building construction environment
