**The role includes, but is not limited to**:

- Administering a Service Desk, providing a central point of contact for the support of Technology for Council staff and elected members.
- Ensuring consistent support services are delivered across the whole of Council through appropriate and timely responses to day-to-day incidents and requests.
- Taking ownership of and resolving requests and incidents whilst providing adequate feedback through to resolution.
- Resolving issues across the diverse range of technologies used throughout council, including desktops, mobile devices, phones, remote access, user security, servers, printers, networks, cloud services, or vendor specific hardware and software.
- Escalating issues where appropriate to the Technology Services Manager, Technology Systems Administrator or third-party network and internet support service providers.
- Contributing to a team that is continuously looking for and supporting business improvement through the identification and implementation of enhancements and changes across Council.
- Assisting with change project activities such as user training, documentation of guides, and the delivery of IT related procedural and service improvement initiatives.

**The key skills and experiences we are looking for include**:

- An industry specific qualification (e.g., Microsoft certification) is desirable.
- User provisioning in an Azure and Active Directory environment.
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN and telecommunication technologies.
- Experience in creating and documenting IT support related policies and FAQ
- Current NZ drivers’ licence.
