**The role**:
Join our foundational team partnering with a global specialist provider that supports mental health for employees across New Zealand. This is the answer employers are looking for to provide clinically effective and accessible quality mental healthcare and support to their employees with a focusing on prevention, early detection, and self-management of common mental health conditions. Thrive is a groundbreaking new solution disrupting Australian EAP.
Based anywhere in New Zealand, you will be part of our larger team of therapists based in the UK. We provide the most relevant support at critical times - whether it’s supporting on a referral pathway or putting users in touch with local mental health teams. The service is available from Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
In this role, you will cover the following shift patterns on either a full-time or part-time basis:
10am - 6pm (NZ time) - Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
1pm - 10pm (NZ time) - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
**Key responsibilities for the role include**:
- Provide the most relevant support at critical times - whether it’s supporting on a referral pathway or putting users in touch with local mental health teams
- Undergo a risk & safety assessment that prevents, screens for and manages mental health
- Provide advice and support and where appropriate, referring onto local mental health teams.
- Formulate, implement and evaluate counselling/ therapy programmes
- Exercise professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of individuals in line with the service.
- Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.
- Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating, professional and accredited bodies.
In this role, you will be supported by senior mental health clinicians providing care and support that is inclusive and informed.
Will be registered or eligible to register with AHPRA (Provisional Psychologist with external supervision support or full registration as a psychologist)
- Has demonstrable experience work

- Willing to travel to provide short term assistance in these unique situations for incident support
