At CountdownX we’ve just completed a large scale operating model review as we accelerate our ambition to create highly personalised, seamless and connected experiences for our customers. Within this context, we’re looking for a Cloud Solution Architect here in Aotearoa.

The role is part of the Woolworth New Zealand architecture team within the technology organisation but works closely with the Analytics and Insights team to design the platform and data architecture that will satisfy the diverse needs of business intelligence and advanced analytics scenarios. You will be a key member of the cross-functional team, and will be responsible for the data architecture and delivery of data management roadmaps to support existing and future needs of the business.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga**
- Work within Architecture functions (ideally focused around Data and Cloud Architecture)
- Managing and analysing data, including strong understanding of Cloud data integration and management.
- You will be using your strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with business knowledge to make the best out of big data
- Work with big data technologies using Cloud vendors like Google Cloud, Azure data platforms
- Understand, negotiate, plan and achieve desired outcomes
- Exposure to project-based work structures in agile environments
- Work with Analytics and Insights team to understand the vision, roadmap, challenges and needs of Business and Product Owners
- Conduct a detailed assessment of data landscape including data platforms, technology architecture, data flows, data consumption, data integration
- Develop future state architecture and process/data flows
- Participate in setting strategy OKRs and develop roadmaps
- Provide specialised expertise, cross-industry perspective, and Thought Leadership in Big Data, Cloud, EIM and other Next Generation technology offering.

**About You | Mōu**

To succeed in this role you will have:

- Broad range of relevant practical experiences including working within Software and Data
- Experience in technical software architecture, design and building proof of concept software
- Strong written and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience with cloud based SQL and noSql technologies, Analytical tools (i.e. SAS, R, Python) & Big Data, Service stacks, standards, products and technologies
- Experience with ITaaS, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS
- Ability to manage and maintain strong working relationships across an organisation
- Proven ability to influence, engage and motivate others.
- Experience with a variety of technology stacks
