**About the role**

This
**12 Month Fixed Term role** for our
**Bethesda Care Home** while our existing manager takes on an exciting secondment. You will be managing care across this site whilst ensuring the business targets are achieved.
**Bethesda** located in the
**heart of Christchurch's leafy suburb of Bishopdale** is a
**90-bed care home** with hospital and rest home level care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Oversee and actively promote positive customer experience by delivering quality care and the management of risk within the Care Home.
- Ensure every resident has an excellent experience in the Care Home.
- Utilise your previous aged care background to enrich the residents’ lives with personalised care.
- Recruit, retain, and lead your team while facilitating the development of their careers.
- Taking ownership of the business - meet occupancy targets, participate in the development of P&L statements, and manage your budget.
- Ensure that the care home meets all legislative and organisational Health & Safety requirements.

**What about you**:
You have a passion for people, understanding individual residents’ needs and behaviours, while working in a collaborative, engaging, and empathetic style. You will have the ability to bring the team along the journey with you and implement changes.
- Proven experience as an Aged Care Home Manager.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (to degree level) in management, health or a related field.
- Experience and strong evidence of developing a culture of trust, performance, and transparency focussed on the customer.
- Proven experience of managing occupancy rates and strong financials.
- Experience working with stakeholders, which includes liaising with the DHB, Allied Health team, local community, residents, and families.
- Show a caring, considerate attitude to residents, visitors and other staff.
- An ability to work well under pressure and to be adaptable.
- Audit management and leading continuous quality improvements.
