Jiya Enterprise Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager for our store in Manurewa.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Assist in managing stock levels by conducting regular inventory checks, helping reduce wastage and stock discrepancies.
- Aid in implementing pricing and promotional strategies to enhance the store's competitive positioning.
- Supervise daily sales activities and provide input on marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed consistently, especially in hot food and beverage sections.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, support point-of-sale (POS) operations, and assist with end-of-day reconciliation.
- Train and mentor new store assistants and casual staff, promoting a positive and service-oriented team culture.
- Help enforce workplace health and safety regulations, identifying and addressing any risks or incidents.
- Coordinate with suppliers for stock deliveries and assist in maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Respond to customer queries and issues with professionalism, escalating concerns to the Store Manager when needed.
- Assist with daily banking procedures and support the Store Manager and accountant in payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Contribute ideas for operational improvements, including potential delivery options or online presence strategies.

**Key Requirements**:

- At least NZQF Diploma (Level 4) or equivalent OR higher, OR,
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work and take decisions independently as this store will not be overseen by the store owners
- Strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage inventory, sales, and staff effectively.
- Sales-driven mindset with a focus on profitability and growth.
