Locum Veterinarian

**THE HOSPITAL**:

The Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic, established in January 2002, is a clinic dedicated to caring and treating small animals. We all own and love our own animals, and our aim is to use our training and experience to care for your pets as we would our own.

**Equipment**:

- sterile surgery suite for soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.
- in-house testing for common tests (such as urinalysis and bacterial culture)
- diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound facilities
- air conditioning
- separate (heated) hospital rooms for dogs and cats
- partitioned waiting areas so nervous pets don’t have to sit beside other pets
- active air extraction for areas that may have bad smells
- separate isolation ward for patients with infectious diseases
- blood pressure testing using Doppler flow detector
- dentistry equipment including ultrasonic descaling and polishing
- wide range of high-quality foods, including many therapeutic diets
- wide range of pet care products and flea control products with sound advice given

**THE DETAILS**:
**When**:From Now - Ongoing Hours of work flexible.

**Rostering**: Roughly 30 - 38 hours per week.

**Where**: Orewa Beach Vet Clinic.

39 Florence Avenue, Orewa - Auckland.

**Pay Rate**: $60 to $70 p/hr DOE

**REQUIREMENTS**:
To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate:
A minimum of 2 -3 years PQE as a GP Veterinarian.

Ability to handle a mixed caseload of Medical and Surgical would be highly regarded.
