Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand - Waitemata is the largest and most rapidly growing in the country, serving a population of around 650,000 people across the North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney areas. We are the largest employer in the district, employing around 8,600 people across more than 80 locations. In addition to providing care to our own resident population, we are the Northern Region's provider of forensic mental health services and child rehabilitation services, plus the metro Auckland provider of child community dental services and community alcohol and drug services. Reporting to the District Works Manager - Facilities Services Group, as an experienced Facilities Scheduler or Planner you will support the Facilities Services Group (FSG) commitment to provide planned maintenance and compliance scheduling and resource co-ordination with respect to District owned buildings. You will be required to maintain and manage relationships with all contractors, IQPs and regulatory bodies to ensure these works are facilitated and documented correctly. Key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively promote and ensure health and safety practices.
- Manage the scheduling and quality of planned and reactive maintenance on site(s) to the HTM standard ensuring all relevant documentation is provided/collected.
- Ensure compliance activities are completed and corrective actions executed in support of the continued holding of BWOF and other certification on each building.
- Give advice and guidance on programming, processes and optimum deployment regarding works to buildings.
- Manage the contractual relationships in so far as they provide physical planned works and IQP services.
- Actively support the Works Manager and Site Supervisor - Waitakere/Mason to ensure full compliance of the buildings under their care.
**Key skills and behaviours will include**:
- A can do attitude and a sense of humour.
- Sound knowledge of the Building and HASNO acts regarding BWOF processes and maintenance
- Highly developed client management skills around negotiation
- Well developed Contractor relationship management skill potentially including some contract management experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in either a trade or direct FM management of complicated asset types.
- Highly developed organisational skills.
- Minimum 5-10 years specific facilities management or planning/scheduling experience
- Solid regulatory knowledge
- Related or complimentary Tertiary qualification
- Excellent interrelationship skills
**Preferred**:
- Member of Facilities Management Association of NZ (FMANZ)
- Trades or Engineering experience
- Member of the NZ Association of Compliance
