**What you’ll be doing**:
It is an exciting role - it is part financial, part engineering, part telecommunications and part stakeholder management working closely with the wider Chorus business.

The Asset and Investment Manager role is responsible for a large capital budget for the investment planning and asset management of the Chorus fibre, copper and property portfolio.

The key accountabilities of this role includes:

- Undertake the Asset Owner role:

- translate strategic business drivers and requirements into investment programmes
- develop and manage Asset Management Plans that supports the lifecycle of technology in the network
- build financial models to support the asset lifecycle
- Lead the development of business case and Exec Papers for major investment programmes.
- Manage the relationship with the business owners to ensure their business outcomes are achieved by translating these outcomes into appropriate investments

**What you’ll bring to the table**:
Having a real passion for what you do is a great start - but having the following will definitely help:

- Practical and strategic experience and knowledge of asset management principles
- Strong problem solving and analytical approach with attention to detail
- Practical and strategic experience in business planning and business case development
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels across as well as up and down through the business.
- Experience in telecommunication industry
