**Job Description**:
We are looking for an experienced manager to lead and manage our growing Civil Infrastructure (CI) team in the Wellington region. As a key member of the New Zealand CI leadership team, you will work with the Group Director and other senior leaders to drive the overall success of the group and our people.
Your primary responsibilities will be to provide leadership in civil engineering and project management, focusing on upskilling the team and collaborating with the wider business. The role combines client-facing responsibility by maintaining strong relations with our clients and developing new relationships. The manager also holds responsibility for the financial and client outcomes for the Wellington portion of the NZ CI portfolio.
**Key responsibilities of this role include**:
+ Promoting our project delivery and developing the team’s ability to deliver projects in the Wellington Region for clients such as Waka Kotahi and Wellington City Council
+ Facilitating the delivery of project work and knowledge sharing across the team both nationally and regionally.
+ Financial and client responsibility.
+ Contributing to developing professional and technical skills to the highest level on all projects they oversee or undertake.
**Qualifications**:
You will have a proven background in the delivery of infrastructure projects and be able to demonstrate:
+ An appropriate tertiary qualification
+ A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience
+ A successful track record of successful project delivery
+ Possession of a Chartered or professional member of a relevant professional body would be advantageous
+ Effective people leadership and management skills
+ Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ An established network and experience in building client relationships and the ability to develop a strong client base
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
+ Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
+ Demonstrated commercial acumen
