This role as a digital journalist will help create unique travel content and drive audience engagement. As a team, we are responsible for all daily entertainment, lifestyle and travel coverage across nzherald.co.nz. If you’re an intermediate level journalist looking for your next move, this could be the role you’re looking for.

The successful applicant will identify breaking travel news stories, produce digital stories, and travel locally and internationally to produce new stories for NZ Herald. You will also need to have a keen eye for finding a good story and be able to turn around quality content in a timely manner.

To be successful you’ll need a couple of years of journalism experience, strong news judgement, a recognised journalism qualification and experience in digital content management systems. You’ll be innovative and passionate about bringing new ideas to the table, be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with a good understanding of journalism practices.
