**A bit about the role**:
In this role you will assist the Events Operations Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations and management of all events within SkyCity Auckland, all while delivering excellent customer service and the highest quality of food and beverage offers to clients and delegates.

**A bit about you**:
You'll be calm, confident and thrive on the challenge of working in such a fast paced and dynamic environment and have valuable experience in a similar environment. Minimum of 3 years' experience in hospitality is essential with at least 2 years' management experience in events & catering.

**The must haves**:

- Exceptional guest and customer service skills
- Proven leadership and delegation skills
- A drive for results
- An excellent command of the English language
- Hold a current General Managers Certificate

**What you will bring to the role**:

- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in judgement and decision making; strategic planning and making things happen.
- Deliver results in line with budgets and maximise revenue and profit opportunities
- Experience in managing supplier relationships
- Work effectively autonomously and as part of a team all while providing direction to employees
- Outstanding guest focus and passion for the job.
- Flexibility around availability i.e. able to work days, nights and weekends.
- An understanding of the legislation regarding Health and Safety, fire safety, food safety, NZ licensing laws, NZ employment laws.
