Bar Manager

The Northern Wairoa Hotel has been an important part of the Dargaville township for over a century. We are an ideal spot for a relaxing drink. We serve a full range of bar snacks, or you can choose to dine in our family-friendly restaurant.

For our bar, we are looking to hire a Bar Manager who will be responsible for the following duties:

- Daily Operations Management: Supervise daily bar operations and manage the other team members.
- Staff Training and Development: Train bar staff to understand patron preferences and make personalised drink recommendations.
- Menu Design and Updates: Assist in creating and updating drink menus, developing new cocktail recipes, and informing clients about new beverages and offers.
- Customer Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve escalated customer complaints swiftly and effectively.
- Supplier Relations and Stock Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the bar is always well-stocked.
- Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Ensure all staff adhere to health, alcohol, and other relevant regulations.
- Vendor and Partner Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for vendors, technicians, DJs, security, and other representatives.
- Marketing Campaign Coordination: Plan and execute marketing campaigns for the bar.
- Assisting with Service: Help with drink preparation, serving, and sales as required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the bar operates in accordance with all relevant permits and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act of 2012.

Required to work for a **minimum of 30 hours per week **and will be paid between **$29 to $33 per hour.**

**Other requirements for the role**:

- Must hold a minimum relevant Level 6 Diploma in management or 1 year of relevant experience.
- Available to work on weekends.

- Available to cover shifts of other staff members (if they are sick)

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
