**At BestStart Papakura East Kindy,**we would love to find a passionate cook to join our team. You will have the responsibility of providing our children with fresh and nutritious meals every day whilst also providing them with hands-on care as required. We are asmall kindergarten in Papakura East with a license of 39 children, ranging from 2 to 5 years old. We are looking for someone that can create nutritious meals and snacks in line with the Healthy Heart guidelines, that loves to be around children and can support the team on a daily basis. They need to be willing to be flexible, and plenty of aroha to share

This is a permanent role working for about 20 hours per week Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm.

**Role requirements**:

- Experience in creating a healthy, fresh vibrant menus and have experience in providing for children who may have dietary/cultural/religious needs and preferences
- Good computer skills
- Set high standards of Health and Safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
- Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders
- Have the ability to order resources to meet menu requirements within a set budget
- Support teachers with supervising children and meetings ratios where needed
- Loves cooking/baking and loves children
