**Purpose of the position**:
Successfully organize and manage the store. Continually participate in the improvement of the Convenience store and work towards achieving customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the Store.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Make a full list of all stock, maintain stock levels and determine how popular an item is before ordering new stock.
- Appointing and dealing with suppliers including negotiation of prices and placing relevant orders.
- Receiving and checking orders from suppliers to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure correct and accurate invoicing of ordered products.
- Review and compare prices of competitor stock and ensure that stock is competitively priced.
- Ensure stock is properly priced and displayed.
- Draft the budget and make timely alterations
- Buying goods and selling goods according to an agreed budget.
- Balancing the till and managing day-to-day banking and financial transactions.
- Reviewing previous sales and sales trends and forecast future sales.
- Manage the stores expenses within the set budget.
- Reviewing and editing HR management strategies which are suited to our business needs
- Interviewing suitable potential employees to determine whether they would be suitable to be employed for certain positions
- Helping determine terms of an employees employment agreement or contract
- Representing employee concerns to other managers or higher authorities
- If necessary and in line with policy, help in the termination of staff by explaining the policy to the employee and negotiating a redundancy package, if applicable.
- Preparing, sorting and storing documents and confidential files clearly and accurately.
- Ensuring that employee documents such as the employment / casual contracts and taxation documents are maintained accurately and updated frequently.
- Interviewing, shortlisting and deciding suitable employees and putting them through an appropriate induction and training.
- Supervising the training as needed and providing feedback to director.
- Review staff performance and make notes about staff.
- Talk to staff and if necessary provide staff with written or verbal warnings on their conduct at work
- Convey the employees opinions or feelings (satisfaction or dissatisfaction with work) to directors and provide recommendations if necessary.
- Answer the company phone in a friendly and engaging way.
- Meet and greet customers and state that they can ask you for further assistance if necessary.
- If necessary, help customers to choose items, advising of any promotions and then accurately collecting payments at the counter.
- Communicating with customers to review the quality of products and service and noting any questions or concerns they may have.
- Dealing with customer complaints in a satisfactory way.
- Training in the health and safety policy and regulations of the company and ensure that all staff are well trained in this policy as well.
- Ensuring compliance of all policy related to health and safety.
- Timely updates of policy if needed.
