Medical Lead Opportunities in Mental Health Services
5 days ago
Te Uru Ruahī, Mental Health & Addiction Services (MAHS) is building a strong leadership team across our service and our new Clinical Director, Alison Masters, is looking for some passionate and skilled Psychiatrists to step into these roles.
The opportunities
**We have two new leadership opportunities in our MAHS service**:
- Specialist Community and Primary MH&A
- Acute Services
These opportunities offer a great combination of leadership and clinical work that will allow you to continue doing the work you're passionate about, while contributing to the leadership across our range of MAHS services.
We want to hear from anyone that is looking to step up into the next stage of their career and take on a pivotal role within our service.
Not only can we offer you career progression, but a lifestyle change too Our team actively encourages work life balance and the MidCentral region is ideally situated for those who like to work, rest and play Beautiful beaches close by, ski fields just up the road, stunning scenery, bars and eateries, as well as excellent schools and universities.
**A bit about us**:
MHAS is responsible for the commissioning and delivery of primary, specialist, and community mental health & addiction services across a diverse urban and rural population of 186,000.
We provide treatment for and connection to recovery-orientated services for individuals experiencing mental illness or addiction issues. Services are delivered across the continuum of lifespan, both regionally and locally, and include specialist community MH&A teams, kaupapa (Māori), Child Adolescent Mental Health Services, inpatient services, crisis response, acute alternatives, specialist primary mental health service, consultation-liaison MH, and specially designed residential programmes.
MHAS has embarked on a programme of transformational change for adult and crisis services which sees a fundamental shift in the way services are delivered. Services are moving towards a wellness and recovery-focused approach in our community that prioritises access, choice, and care closer to home. The change sees significant investment into digital technologies and new infrastructure including the construction of a new “greenfield” state-of-the-art acute inpatient unit.
If leadership sounds like your next step, get in touch Happy to have an informal chat about what these roles could look like.
