Mixer/ Hoist Operators

Walter & Wild is a New Zealand Food Manufacturing company with a substantial portfolio of iconic brands including Hubbards, I Love Food Co., Aunt Betty’s, Hansells, Vitafresh, Greggs, Alfa One, Movenpick (NZ and AU), Killinchy Gold, NZ Natural, Zilch and Chateau.

We currently have a great opportunity for experienced Mixer/ Hoist operators to join our team based in our Hubbards plant, in Mangere, Auckland. The shifts available are:

- Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Hours will depend on production requirements and which line and position you work but will be a minimum of 40 hours per week. At Walter & Wild, we want our people to be flexible and highly-skilled. To achieve this, staff may need to change lines/tasks (with notice) for production, development and training purposes.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to**:

- Experience in food/FMCG production/manufacturing.
- Must have a valid Fork-hoist licence (i.e., counterbalance, reach)
- Reliable transport to get to work.
- Good working mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability.
- Understanding of food safety requirements and good personal hygiene.
- Physically fit (able to stand on your feet for the whole day and lift up to 25kg).
- Able to problem solve and trouble shoot.
- Able to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
- Able to work safely and identify hazards.
- Works as a team player and goes out of way to help.
