Pool Barrier Inspector

Whanganui District Council is tasked with ensuring that the means of restricting access to swimming pools meets legislative timeframes and building code requirements for the current 700 plus pools on our register. In response, Council is wishing to expand its team of compliance officers to ensure it continues to deliver an effective, efficient and responsive service to ensure swimming pools are safe. An exciting opportunity exists for someone who is passionate about the safety and well-being of our community. You will be the guardian of our swimming pool stock, auditing, maintaining our register, advising and interpreting the laws and standards that control the means of restricting access to swimming pools. You will also deal with "pop-up" pools over the summer months to ensure the necessary compliance.
