Its container season and we need someone to help us until 31st December 2025. We have a need for someone qualified to drive a forklift with warehouse experience to help ensure we land and distribute the stock from containers as they arrive to our stores.

Our distribution center team assists with receipting, storage and dispatch of stock for several Mitre 10 stores within the business. We have a fixed term opportunity available that will provide service excellence to the stores we support; a high level of operational standards are maintained ensuring a culture of a safe working practices is enforced.

This is a varied, busy role where you will not only be picking and preparing orders for our Stores and customers alike, but you will also be unloading and loading trucks as well as operating a forklift.

**Our ideal applicant**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution centre.
- Hold a valid, full, clean Class 1 license (ability to drive delivery vehicles if required)
- Forklift / Reach Truck licence with F endorsement distinct advantage
- Physically fit and capable with no restrictions on lifting or handling.
- Strong multi-tasking ability.
- Adaptable to frequently changing priorities
- Technology Savvy or a willingness to learn

**The duties of this role**:

- Participate in the devanning of containers, unloading and unpacking of stock.
- Ensure all stock entering (accurately receipted, checked against delivery note, checked that barcodes) and leaving the DC is accurately processed in a timely manner;
- Coordinate the delivery, storage and receipt of materials, equipment, merchandise and supplies
- Ensures goods are stored correctly to minimize health and safety risks
- Ensure stock is off loaded from delivery vehicles in good condition and document any damage observed
- Branch transfers, returns and credits are processed as per procedure manual
- Ensure goods received marry up with items listed on delivery notes; inform Inventory Controller of any discrepancies
- Ensure the following documents are sent to the appropriate place/person for processing as soon as possible: packing slips, invoices, delivery dockets, shortages, damaged stock
- Ensure that all stock and equipment such as roll cages, trolley jacks and forklifts are kept in the appropriate designated locations
