We are looking for flexible entry level and experienced
household staff to be join our team.
This role is a great way to learn how a hospital works and get a foot in
the door to a world of opportunities.
You will be part of the team that contributes to the
hospital running smoothly, whatever the time of day or day of the year. You will make our hospital a place where
people can get better safely, families can visit in comfort, and staff can do
great work in a hygienic and safe environment.
The roles involve thorough cleaning throughout the wards,
operating theatres, public areas and offices, as well as changing beds, and laundry
and rubbish collection. You may also do
the tea rounds, have contact with patients and support the nursing and orderly
staff.
Casual position We are looking for a person who is available to work on a casual basis across Monday to Friday shifts. With 50 household staff in our team, we often need cover for
annual and other leave between the hours of 6.30AM and 11.00PM.
There are no fixed hours associated with casual employment. However, the more available you are, the more shifts you will be offered.
Permanent & Temporary positions - at the time of advertising, we have the following positions available:
Permanent 0.5 FTE working 40 hours a fortnight.
- Shift: Monday to Friday 3.00PM to 7.00PM.

Temporary 0.5 FTE working 40 hours a fortnight (covering parental leave for up to 12 months).
- This is a flexi position, with no fixed hours. However, you will be guaranteed 40 hours a fortnight across a range of shifts between the hours of 6.30AM and 11.00PM.FTE stands for Full-Time Equivalent. E.G. 0.5FTE equals half of a full-time position.

In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening and weekend work, Kiwisaver and additional payments/time off if you are
rostered to work on a public holiday. You will also be supported to get your
qualification in Cleaning (NZQA Level 2 & 3).

These available positions would suit people with experience in cleaning/customer service OR people with no experience, but a passion

hospital ticks. To be successful in this
role you must be reliable, have a positive attitude and consistently deliver a
high-quality, customer-focused service. Full training will be provided.
Mandatory
requirement
For the health and
safety of staff and patients you are required to
provide proof that you have completed your first two NZ approved
Covid-19 vaccinations.
