**About the Role**

As a Laboratory Technician in the Biochemistry department, you will be responsible for:

- Preparing and processing laboratory samples for diagnostic testing.
- Performing routine laboratory procedures and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Working collaboratively with laboratory scientists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
- Have experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in Biochemistry.
- Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be committed to maintaining high-quality standards and ongoing professional development.
