**Job Description**:

- Great opportunity to lead a production team, with a focus on safety, driving team performance and delivering productivity targets_

Are you an experienced Operations Team Supervisor or a Team Leader looking to take the next step in your career?

As part of the Supply Chain team, this role will be to lead a small production team at our site in Dunedin, providing direction and support to the team, ensuring productivity targets are met and safety is maintained across the afternoon shift (2:30pm - 1:00am Monday - Thursday).

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Creating a positive, productive and safe working environment
- Ensuring continuous improvement in safety and quality
- Providing leadership, direction, coaching and support to the team
- Driving team performance, providing recognition or creating improvement plans as required
- Ensuring productivity targets are met via appropriate resourcing and planning
- Getting in and helping out the team where necessary
- Resolving problems or obstacles to production as they arise
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in an automated and fast paced industrial production or operations environment, or Team Leader experience and looking to step up
- Forklift experience, with F endorsement and current OSH Forklift Operator Certificate
- The leadership capability to drive and motivate a diverse multi-cultural workforce
- Solid experience in performance management and conflict resolution
- A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, innovation and change
- Some exposure to production and maintenance planning, embracing the use of technology
- Strong communication and team building skills
- Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn
- Experience in a highly unionised environment preferred
