Vailea Silviculture Limited is a forestry company based in Gisborne who are on the lookout for keen, reliable, on-time workers for a full-time roles.

No experience is needed, we will provide full training.

**The job**:

- Planting - native or radiata pines in steep terrain.
- Weed control - working with a machete to clear weeds or using a chemical spray.
- Scrub cutting - using a scrub bar to remove small trees and weeds
- Fire tracks - cutting fire tracks into vulnerable sites
- Fire - prevention, control, and look-out duties

All the above duties may be carried out on steep terrain in physically demanding country. The role is a full-time role and you will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and at time up to 40 hours if required.

**Job Requirements**
- Physically fit.
- Able to carry up to 20kgs on your back walking up steep terrain
- sober and drug-free.
- love the outdoors.
- honest and reliable.
- ability to work away from home.
- ability to work in all terrain.
- Transport will be provided to and from the work site.
- ongoing training will be provided
- Weekly pay.

The job pays a minimum of $29.70 per hour or piece rates whichever is the higher amount.
