About Us: Our mission is to create a store in Masterton that the locals can take pride in, and we're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our dynamic team. Our supermarket underwent an exciting transformation and reopened in late August 2023 with an expanded product range. As a result, we have seen an increase in workload, and we now require team members to support day-to-day operations. If you're a well-presented, friendly, and dedicated individual who's committed to exceeding customer expectations, you could be the perfect fit
for this role.
We currently have a position available for 35 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours during the busy summer and holiday seasons. Hard work is at the core of what we do, and exceptional customer service is our hallmark.
About the Role of Assistant Store Manager:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the Store Manager in overseeing daily business operations.
- Monitoring and maintaining optimal stock levels and service standards.
- Collaborating in stock purchasing and receiving activities.
- Contributing to marketing strategies and pricing decisions.
- Supporting promotional and advertising efforts.
- Accurate record-keeping of financial transactions.
- Assisting in budgeting and financial planning.
- Participation in staff selection, training, and supervision.
- Meeting sales targets and managing within budget constraints.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

- Proficiency with technology and point-of-sale systems.
- Experience in café operation is advantage
- Preferred 1+ year of experience in management roll
- Preferred 2+ years of experience in a Retail setting.
- General Manager's Certificate/LCQ required (assistance in obtaining license available).
