As Asset Engineer, you will play a key support role to the Asset Manager in providing technical asset management services to our customers and operational teams across the Tarawhiti Region. Working alongside an experienced and dedicated team, you will assist in the implementation of engineering processes and deliverables associated with infrastructure asset management, ensuring adherence to company and contract standards.
In this role, you will actively engage in utilising and contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge technology in asset management, data analysis, deterioration forecasting, and maintenance planning support. Your involvement will extend to the formulation of forward works plans for asset renewals. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate in assisting our clients with their Long-Term Plans and funding requests to Waka Kotahi.
**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- Desirable to hold tertiary Engineering or Information Technology qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven industry experience and knowledge, but experience in advanced asset management will be advantageous
- Desirable to have experience and skills in asset management and/or data management software and the ability to understand and translate large amounts of data to usable information - as a minimum, proven experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Access.
- The ability to follow set processes and instructions with high attention to detail.
- Superior communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues clearly and rigorously to maximize the impact
- Passion, drive and enthusiasm and highly self-motivated to drive business results
- Sound commercial understanding and acumen
- Ability to conduct some travel.
