Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Policy Analyst to join this newly established role within our Strategy, Planning and Performance team at Te Whatu Ora. Your role will have a strong ethic of public service and will see this as an opportunity to make a difference. You will come with a range of policy skills, expertise and backgrounds. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality objective analysis and advice on policy issues as they relate to planning and strategy development.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Comprehensive knowledge of policy formulation in a health or social sector government or delivery agency
- Highly developed analytical skills and a demonstrated commitment to developing and maintaining specialist skills and knowledge in own area of expertise
- A good understanding or the policy development process and of parliamentary processes
- A good understanding of the policy implementation and the issues likely to impact on it
- Project management skills

This role requires and/or would benefit from the following
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
