**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
**Monday to Friday, part time (0.3 FTE, 12 hours per week), permanent position located in Auckland City Hospital. Ideally suited to someone currently working in a clinical role in the Auckland region. If you are not currently working at ADHB there is potential for us to offer additional clinical tenths in a variety of services by negotiation and according to availability.**

At Te Toka Tumai | Auckland District Health Board, we have a commitment to registrar training and aim to ensure the registrars benefit from a mentoring programme and an excellent supervisor.

Our central Auckland Mental Health Services are comprehensive, and include specialist services for Māori and for Pacific people, as well as regional and supra-regional services. Both our population and work-force reflect Auckland's multi-cultural nature. Our services provide a wide range of excellent training experiences for trainees.

We are looking for a Psychiatrist to work directly with registrars to maintain and optimise training opportunities while they are on rotation at Auckland DHB.

You will work alongside clinical teams, supervisors and managers to ensure registrar training needs are met. You will assist the Training Programme in ensuring that the trainees’ clinical practice develops appropriately. You will report to the Mental Health and Addictions Services Medical Director, have a close relationship with the Directors of Training and Psychotherapy Coordinator and be a member of the regional Vocational Training Committee.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

To be successful in this role, you will need Vocational Registration with a current Practicing Certificate as a Psychiatrist with the New Zealand Medical Council. You will also have awareness of the Training Regulations, published by the RANZC and experience as a senior medical practitioner within Mental Health Service setting.
