We're looking for a self-motivated person to join our Drymill team based at our Whirinaki mill site, 15 mins north of Napier. **About the Opportunity** As a Drymill Operator you will be responsible for grading timber and ensuring production targets are met whilst complying with all health and safety and quality requirements. Full training will be provided to ensure you become multi-skilled at operating all work centres. This is a shift position, working 8 hour shifts (Monday to Friday) over a 3 week rotating roster - 2200 - 0600, 0600 - 1400, 1400 - 2200. **About the person** We're looking for someone who is willing to learn, has a great work ethic with a proactive "can do" attitude and works well within a team. You'll have strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude with the ability to work well under pressure. **_ - Strong health and safety focus - Excellent attendance record, a strong work ethic and a proactive "can do" attitude - Flexible and adaptable - Ability to sustain a high level of energy and composure during times of pressure - Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude - Ability to work in a team but also with mínimal supervision **_ It would also be desirable to have the following skills and experience:_** - Forklift licence preferred - Health and Safety qualification and a current first aid certificate preferred - Experience in the timber industry - Strong focus on plant reliability - Sound judgement with a practical approach to problem solving - Ability to respond quickly to changes in priorities or urgent requirements when they arise - An appreciation of LEAN, 5S or 6 Sigma manufacturing principles and an understanding of drymill processes would also be highly advantageous. **Who are we?** For over 45 years Pan Pac has been growing, processing and delivering quality radiata products to national and international markets.
