- About the role
Our
Bacteriology Department is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician with a
positive, helpful attitude to join us in our mission of providing a
high-quality service within our laboratory.
Canterbury
Health Laboratories is the largest medical laboratory in the South Island which
is also a major secondary/tertiary referral centre. We have a modern and
well-equipped lab including a good range of specialist equipment. Our
laboratory is open 24 hours a day, providing timely results to our clinicians
to ensure our patients are getting the right treatment, at the right time. Our
Bacteriology Department is made up of a team of Medical Laboratory Scientists,
Medical Laboratory Technicians, Microbiologists, and Registrars.
This
position is a permanent part-time for a Medical Laboratory Technician who is
passionate about developing their career with Canterbury Health Laboratories.
Applicants
must also be available for weekend, on-call and Public Holiday rosters as
required.

- Providing a

high-quality service to clients

processing of specimens received in the laboratory
- Ability to operate
analysers
- Problem solving with
